The monitor thinks it's connected, and Windows thinks there are two monitors, but one is just black. When Windows boots, I get the sign-on screen on one monitor, and the other monitor is completely black. If I boot the laptop (lid closed) with the TB4 dock attached and connected to my two external 27" 2k monitors via DP, I get the Lenovo splash screen and the little circle of Windows "I'm booting" dots on both screens. I did a bunch more messing around, and this appears to be some sort of issue with drivers. In the mean time, my TB3 dock continues to work just fine. I'm finding it hard to believe that it's a HW error in the dock but I guess I'll find out when the replacement arrives. Premium Support have apparently raised a case to have a replacement TB4 dock sent out to me. Fortunately not permanent harm was done and the laptop screen came back to life when I unplugged the dock. Using one DP port and the HDMI port to drive the 'blank' monitor seemed to cause the doc to have a complete meltdown and all screens went blank, including the laptop screen. Really, Lenovo.), swapping ports, cables (TB4 and TB3 - all certified), nothing fixed the problem. I raised a case with Premium Support, and after a lot of messing around (rolling back display drivers. My second external monitor was still blank.
#X MIRAGE TRIAL CLOSES UPDATE#
The X1 identified the TB dock and Vantage identified that it's FW needed updating, and the update worked fine.
#X MIRAGE TRIAL CLOSES DRIVERS#
All of the other peripherals on the TB4 dock work fine.Īll of the X1 Nano FW and drivers are current. Oddly, Windows shows both monitors as active and doesn't think there's a problem. Swapping the DP output ports on the dock just moves the problem, so it's not a faulty port. Plug the first one back in, the other goes blank. Using the TB4 dock If I unplug the working DP monitor, the other one springs to life. This all works perfectly fine with my Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 Gen 2 dock. I usually have the Nano X1 closed and drive 2 x Dell U2722D (2k) monitors via DP. I received my new Lenovo Thundebolt 4 Universal Dock (40B00135AU) and straight out of the box it would not display anything on my second external monitor.
